The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight S and SW-facing slope. This is a rectangular overgrown area (dims. 45m NE-SW; 39m NW-SE) defined by earthen banks (Wth 1-2m; int. H 0.5-1m) with external flat bottomed moats (Wth of top c. 6m; ext. D 2-4m) and external banks (Wth 2m; ext. H 1m) on each side. There is a square enclosure (dims. 8m x 8m) in the N angle that might be a house site.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
