The National Monuments Service's description
In December 1888 a workman disturbed a small cist in Misterin that contained grey ashes and two pygmy cups (Ffrench 1889-90) that are now in the National Museum of Ireland (Kavanagh 1977, 89-90). A cist (WX030-067----) had been found in the same field c. 50 years previously and another (WX030-069----) was found in 1931. The find-spot is unknown.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
