The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a circular bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 80m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a local rise. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 45-50m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 1m) and hedge NW-NE and by a scarp elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. A field bank with a drain on its S side runs through the interior from the perimeter at NW to the centre and then turns NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
