The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 70-75m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located just off the S-facing slope of a broad plateau. This is a circular area (diam. 45m NNW-SSE) planted with coniferous trees and defined by an earthen bank (at NW: Wth 4.8m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H1.1m) separated by a fosse (at NW: Wth of top 6.5m; Wth of base 2.1m; ext. D 1.1m) from an outer bank (at NW: Wth 4.1m; ext. H 1.1m) and outer fosse (at NW: Wth of top 3.5m; ext. D 0.7m). The entrance and causeway through both banks (Wth 6.5m) at WSW is probably modern (max. ext. diam. 65m). Earthwork (WX030-008----) is c. 50m to the SW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
