The National Monuments Service's description

From O’Mahony, A. (1987, 10, l) Attached to the W wall of the Chancel are the remains of a thick, coffin-shaped slab (Wth 0.42-0.53m; H 0.74m; T 0.13m). The upper half only remains. It has a foliate cross. The remains of an inscription in Lombardic lettering run parallel with the stem of the cross: HIC IACET...(Here lies), and beneath DEDAS..(may you grant?....).
