The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a small mound (diam. c. 15-20m) adjacent to a quarry on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated at the crest of a S-facing slope with a W-E stream c. 250m to the S, and c. 800m from the sea-shore to the E. It is not visible at ground level in an area that is now a neglected quarry. It may be a spoil mound.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
