The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a rectangular embanked or moated enclosure on the 1839 (ext. dims. 60m E-W; c. 50m N-S) and the 1924 (ext. dims. c. 65m E-W; c. 65m N-S) eds of the OS 6-inch map, and located on a slight E-facing slope in a low-lying landscape. This is a rectangular overgrown area (dims. 45m E-W; 41m N-S) with raised corners defined by low banks (at N: Wth 4m; int. H 0.6m). There is an external flat bottomed moat (at N: With 6m; int. D 1.5m; ext. D 1m) on each side. (Barry 1977, 216, WX 26)
