The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 75m NW-SE: c. 65m NE-SW) with wide banks or drains on the NW and NE sides on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a slight SW-facing slope and an oval enclosure (dims. c. 70m N-S; c. 45m E-W) is visible on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP T 166/167) taken in 1977 where it is defined by field banks N-E-S and what appears to be an earthwork bank curving S-W-N. It is not visible at ground level in pasture.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
