The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) a ruined castle (WX026-042----) and a mill at Cooladine were owned by John Synnott in 1641, together with 544 acres in that townland and Kilcotty (Simington 1953, 71). The mill remains unlocated.
