The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as the site of a church on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map within a faintly depicted D-shaped area (dims. c. 25m NE-SW; c. 20m NW-SE) that is cut by a NNW-SSE field bank at W which is described as a graveyard. It is described as the site of a church on the 1940 ed. of the map. The site is situated on a S-facing slope at the N edge of the River Sow basin. There are no visible remains of a structure, enclosure or burial at ground level in a coniferous forest.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
