The National Monuments Service's description

Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme and set aside for resolution as Dunsinane 1 (Hardy et al. 2010, 126-7). It is situated on an undulating landscape sloping down slightly to the E and was completely excavated (E4161) by D. Gallagher when eight pits and some post and stake-holes were recorded in a concentrated area (dims c. 20m x c. 20m). There was no pattern amongst the pits (dims c. 0.5m x 0.5m; D 0.13m to 2.6m x 1m; D 0.3m) which produced no artefacts, although 17 sherds, representing four Beaker vessels, were recovered from a single post-hole, which also provided a C14 date of 2464-2214 cal. BC. The hut-site (WX025-060002-) is c. 40m to the N, and the unrelated charcoal-production pit (WX025-062----) is c. 130m to the SSW. (Hardy and Taylor 2012; Gallagher 2013)
