Marked as a small rectangular feature (dims. c. 30m N-S; c. 30m E-W) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a slight W-E valley with a small W-E stream c. 80m to the S. This is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims. 25m E-W; 22m N-S) defined by a slight fosse or moat (Wth 5.5-9m; D c. 0.2-0.4m) with the slight rise of an inner bank (H 0.1m) on all sides except the W. A leat runs southwards from the SW corner.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
