The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 60-65m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a circular sunken area (diam. c. 35-40m) on the 1925 ed. It is located on a short NW-SE spur in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains. It is not visible at ground level in a cereal crop. Archaeological testing (19E0678) c. 40m to the SW failed to produce any related material (McLoughlin 2019).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
