The National Monuments Service's description

Located on the E-facing slope of a W-E spur in the foothills of White Mountain. This is a circular grass and fern-covered area (42.3m E-W; diam. 40.7m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 5-6.3m; int. H 0.8-1.2m; ext. H 1.8m), with an outer fosse (Wth of top 6-7.8m; Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 0.7m at E to1.8m at W) and external bank (Wth 3m; ext. H 1m) surviving S-NNW and NNE-SE (max. ext. dim. 60m E-W). There is an entrance through the inner (Wth 5m) and outer (Wth 3m) bank at ESE. There is a tradition of burial in the interior but there is no evidence of a church or burial.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
