The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the E-facing slope towards the N end of a slight NE-SW ridge (L c. 300m). The cropmark of a circular area (diam. c. 63m) defined by a single fosse with an entrance (Wth c. 5m) at E is visible on iMAPs (2022). There are old quarries visible in the interior that are also depicted on the historical mapping, and the perimeter is truncated (L c. 45m) by a NNE-SSW roadway at W. Field drains attach to the fosse at N and S but other field drains that are visible are likely to be more modern. Archaeological testing c. 40m to the N identified habitation floors with medieval material (WX022-013003-) which probably relates to this enclosure as much as to the site of a graveyard in Ballynure (WX022-013002-) c. 30m to the NW. The enclosure is also visible on MapGenie (2004-06), and it was first reported by Jean Charles Caillére.
