The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50-55m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated on a fairly level landscape with a small W-E stream c. 330m to the N and the headwaters of a small NNW-SSE stream c. 280m to the SW. This is a slightly raised subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 39m N–S; 34m E–W) defined by a scarp (H c. 0.5m) with a fosse suggested by lusher vegetation (Wth 2–3m) SE–SW and NW–NE. It is truncated slightly by a N-S farm road at W. It can be seen a a vegetation mark on the OSI series of aerial photographs (2005).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
