The National Monuments Service's description

Located in a slight fold towards the bottom of a SE-facing slope with a SW-NE stream c. 370m to the SE. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 62m N–S; 60m E–W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5–8m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2–2.5m) with trees and an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 7m; D 1m). There is an outer bank (Wth 5m; ext. H 1m) at E. The entrance gap at E (Wth 4m) is probably modern or may have been widened, and there are springs in the fosse at E and W. The fosse at SE is truncated by a NE-SW road bank.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
