The National Monuments Service's description

Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme and set aside for resolution as Ballydawmore 4 (Hardy et al. 2010, 81). It is situated on a slight S-facing slope with an E-W stream c. 280m to the S. Excavation (E4278) by C. Hardy recorded a U-sectioned ditch (Wth 1.4m; D 0.25m; L 20m plus) running E-W and curving to the N at either end. Leinster cooking ware was recovered from the upper fill of the ditch, which cut an E-W gully (Wth c. 1m; D 0.4m; L 22.8m plus) that lay to its N but curved to the S at either end. The gully produced no artefacts, and the only other feature was a small pit or post-hole (dims 0.38m x 0.26m; D 0.25m) just S of the ditch at the W edge of the excavation. The unrelated fulacht fia (WX020-111----) is c. 40m to the NE and the metal-working site (WX020-112----) is c. 150m to the SE. (McNamara 2012; Hardy 2013)
