The National Monuments Service's description

Identified in centre-line testing (E4110) in advance of the M11 Gorey to Enniscorthy road scheme and set aside for resolution as Toom7 (Hardy et al. 2010, 77). It is situated on a fairly level landscape. It was excavated (E4285) by C. Hardy as two pits (dims 0.7m x 0.5m; D 0.24m: 1.54m x 1.14m: D 0.25m) and what may be a tree-bole (3.32m x 2.13m; D 0.46m), all within a small area (dims c. 10m x c. 6m) and all containing fills with flecks of charcoal. A sample from the larger pit produced a C14 date of Cal BC 2196-1985, and the only artefact recovered was a piece of worked quartz from the same context. The pits and post-holes (WX020-099----) are c. 90m to the SW. (Hull 2011; Hardy 2013)
