The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a W-facing slope with the N-S Urin River c. 300m to the W. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 90m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; H 2m) NNW-NE and elsewhere by the remains of a bank or a scarp. The entrance (Wth 5m) is at NNE. A trial excavation found the base of a bank (Wth c. 6m) with an internal fosse (Wth of top c. 2.5m; D c. 1m) and an external fosse (Wth of top c. 5m; D c. 1.2m) at S (Fanning 1972).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
