The National Monuments Service's description
Depicted as an oval bivallate enclosure (int. dims. c. 45m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW; ext. dims. c. 80m NW-SE; c. 60m NE-SW) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located on a SE-facing slope of the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains and it is visible on the ground as an oval sunken area (dims. 43m NE-SW; 36m NW-SE) with a segment of a field bank curving around it at NW. It is partly visible as a vegeatation mark on Google Earth (2011).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
