The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a fairly level landscape in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains. This is a rectangular grass and scrub-covered area (dims. 34.5m N-S; 31.5m E-W) with raised edges and corners, and an overgrown flat-bottomed moat (at N: Wth 7m; int. D 1.8m; ext. D 1.6m) on all sides except the S, where there is a W-E stream. There is a field bank on the outer edge of moat. (Barry 1977, 213, WX 3)
