The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise in the valley of the S-N Owenavorragh River, with the stream c. 150m to the E, and in the centre of Ballycanew village. The site of the parish church of Ballycanew (WX016-011001-) is within a subcircular raised graveyard (dims. 44m E-W; 30m N-S) defined by a masonry wall. A bullaun stone (WX016-011003-) is in the NE area of the graveyard.
