The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated (E3484) during 2005 by E. Moore as Site 19 at Coolnastudd, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. A spread of broken and burnt stone (dims 6.5m x 4m; T 0.1m) was on the W bank of a small N-S stream, although an old stream bed was just to the SW. A second spread (dims 5m x 4m; T 0.08m) was nearby, but neither produced evidence of an underlying trough. There was a stone-lined pot-boiler hollow in the bank of the old stream bed. (Moore 2008)
