The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a steep NW-facing slope. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 32m E-W; 32m NE-SW) defined by an overgrown earthen bank with traces of stone cladding (Wth 1.7m; int. and ext. H 1m) and an outer fosse (Wth 2.5m; D 0.5m) NE-SW, which is incorporated into a field bank elsewhere. Entrances at NE, E, SW and W are modern, and a silage pit intrudes into the interior at NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
