The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the E end of a low E-W ridge. Marked as a D-shaped wooded enclosure on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and as a sub-rectangular enclosure (dims c. 50m E-W; c. 45m N-S) defined by a field bank and bisected by a NW-SE road on the 1925 ed. of the map. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 50m NW–SE; 27m NE–SW) on the SW side of the road defined by a straight NW–SE road bank and and a curved earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. H 1.1-1.4m) SE–W–NW, but there is no visible fosse. There are entrances against the road bank at NW (Wth 5.6m) and SE (Wth 5.7m). Moated site (WX010-011----) is c. 20m to the W, on the other side of the road.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
