The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as small circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight shelf at the bottom of a SE-facing slope with a N-S stream c. 60m to the E. This is an oval, grass-covered area (dims. c. 32m E-W; c. 27m N-S) known locally as a raheen which is defined by a stone-clad earthen field bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.5-1.8m) with an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5m) at E and low remains of a bank (Wth 5m; H 0.2m) at S and W. It is conjoined to enclosure (WX006-006----), which is immediately to the S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
