The National Monuments Service's description

Marked on the 1839 and 1923 eds of the OS 6-inch map as a bi-vallate enclosure, it is situated towards the bottom of a SE-facing slope overlooking a slight NW-SE spur. This is an oval grass and fern-covered area with some furze (dims 32m NE–SW; 27m NW–SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3–5m; H 0.5–1m) with an external fosse and outer bank (max. ext. dims 48m NE–SW; 40m NW–SE). There are the remains of an outer fosse NW–E, and the entrance is at SE. The site is bisected by a NW-SE field bank and townland boundary.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
