The National Monuments Service's description
Located towards the bottom of a NE-facing slope overlooking the N-S Wicklow Gap, with a N-S stream c. 150m to the E. It is marked as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1841 and 1924 eds of the OS 6-inch map and is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP T 39/40). This is a circular grass and bracken-covered area (diam. 32m) defined by drystone wall (Wth 1.5-2.5m; H 0.5-1 m). There are entrance gaps (Wth 1.5m) at S and E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
