The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 2.8m min.; Wth 0.7m min.; D 0.22m min.) is orientated N-S and consists of brushwood and twigs, predominantly longitudinally, but occasionally transversely laid. The structure is up to three pieces deep and is quite fragmented at the top of the deposit but more cohesive with less twigs within the body of the site. Four upright pieces occur throughout the structure which may be displaced horizontal elements. There are numerous chisel points and indications of branch-trimming on the pieces. The wood is in good condition and is quite straight-grained with some forked elements. The site is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and fibrous roots. SMR WM039-359---- situated c. 4m to the N at a comparable level in the drain face and may be related to this site.
