The National Monuments Service's description

A loose deposit of irregularly laid light brushwood with some twigs (Wth 1.7m; D 0.32m). The twigs occur throughout the deposit but are particularly located in the centre. Wood species include willow, ash and hazel. The site has been radiocarbon dated to cal. AD 1327-1476 (UCD-0152). The site is located in an area of dense archaeological sites in poorly humified Sphagnum with some ericaceous remains and fibrous roots. SMR WM039-186----and SMR WM039-333---- are adjacent to this site to the NE and SW, respectively, and SMR WM039-202---- is located 0.1m below.
