The National Monuments Service's description

A substantial, dispersed deposit (Wth 4.77m; D 0.46m) of mixed brushwood, twigs and a roundwood in the drain face. Light brushwood and twigs are located towards the base of the site with the heavier brushwood and roundwood towards the top. The elements are irregularly arranged with no apparent structure and the wood is in poor condition. A number of degraded worked ends were noted. The site is located in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum. This site is one of a number of similar structures in a 24m length of this drain face including SMR WM039-078----, 2m to the NE. A fragment of leather (92E148:71), was recovered from the field surface on the opposite side of the drain.
