The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the crown of a prominent ridge, in pasture, with commanding views of the surrounding landscape, particularly to N. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork (dims. 40m E-W; 30m N-S). Monument described in 1973 as an oval-shaped area enclosed by a low inner bank mainly reduced to a steep scarp, an intervening fosse, a berm, a low outer bank with external fosse. The inner bank and intervening fosse are visible from NE-E-SE-S-SW. The inner bank is reduced to a steep scarp from SW-W-NW-N-NE. The berm is fairly flat and is evident from SE-S-SW. The outer bank is visible from NE-E-SE-S-SW. There is an entrance at E. This earthwork is densely overgrown with briars and bracken making close examination of the interior impossible. Monument is visible today as an oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
