The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in generally level pasture. Depicted on the first ed. OS 6-inch map as a large circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork. Levelled monument is visible today as a large circular-shaped cropmark (approx. diam. 75m) on Digital Globe aerial photography. Could have been the site of a designed landscape feature or a tree-ring associated with Ballard House located 465m to W.
