The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in pasture. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork. Shown on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 41m N-S; 37m E-W). Levelled monument described in 1973 as a formerly oval-shaped area which is now levelled and traversed by a field boundary running NW-SE across the SW sector. Vague traces of a shallow fosse can be traced from S-SW-WSW on the SW side of the field boundary. No remains of an earthwork can be traced on the NE side of the field boundary. Levelled monument is not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography, although the old road abutting to SE is clearly visible as a cropmark.
