Situated in a small rectangular-shaped farmyard, surrounded by pasture. Annotated 'Fort' on the OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a small circular-shaped earthwork. Shown on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork enclosed within a small rectangular area defined by field boundaries to S, W and N and by a farm buildings to E and S. Not depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map, although the rectangular-shaped yard and buildings are shown to E and S. Monument described in 1979 as a small defaced earthwork. Its exact nature is unclear as it has been planted with trees. The perimeter all around has been incorporated into modern field banks and a farmyard built on the E side.
