The National Monuments Service's description

Natural spring well located immediately S of the SE corner of the walled garden belonging to Dunboden Park. Church (WM033-008----) and graveyard (WM033-008001-) located 250m to the S. The monument consists of a stone lined, covered natural spring well that has been abandoned and is now overgrown. The partial remains of an iron surround can be seen along with the remains of a water pump which no longer works. No evidence of any votive offerings at the well. Designated as 'Toberbreedia' on all editions of the OS 6-inch maps. There is a discrepancy between the location of the holy well that is depicted on the first edition OS 6-inch map and on the revised OS 6-inch maps and the OS 25-inch map. the latter editions appear to have marked the holy well at the wrong location.
