The National Monuments Service's description
Monument surveyed by ASI in 1971 and described as following; 'Marked with pencil by OPW on field surveyors copy of the 1914 ed. OS 6-inch map. There is no visible trace of an enclosure there now. The site, the top of a prominent rise would have been suitable for a rath. The site is surrounded by gently undulating fertile pasture and meadow land. There are extensive views from the site in all directions' (SMR File 25/06/1971). Depicted as a circular enclosure on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map.
