The National Monuments Service's description

Situated atop low hillock in undulating countryside with post-1700 corn mill of Ballynabarna 110m to NNE and mill race 70m to E. On the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map the glebe land belonging to Kilcumreragh Church (WM031-079----) is depicted immediately W of the graveyard and the boundary of the glebe is shown as a dotted outline in the same manner as the graveyard. The dotted outline may indicate the remains of an earthen bank and ditch marking the boundary of the glebe land and the graveyard. The linear ditch of the glebe boundary can be seen running W from the W boundary wall of the graveyard. The ivy-covered ruins of Kilcumreragh church (WM031-079----) and two mortuary chapels stand in N quadrant of graveyard.
Present remains consist of a D-shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 56m N-S x 60m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate and stile at S end of E wall. The graveyard boundary wall possibly replaced an earlier earthen enclosure and is straight sided at E and S and curves from WSW-W-N-NNE possibly following the line of an earlier ecclesiastical enclosure (WM031-079002-). The interior of the graveyard rises high above the surrounding land following the contour of the hillock on which it is situated.
