The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a high ridge, in pasture, with commanding views of the surrounding countryside. Depicted on the 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1973 as a roughly circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 36m) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank and external fosse which is visible from SE-S-SW-W-NW. A field boundary flanks the exterior of the monument from SE-S-SW. There is a slight outer bank on the S side of this however this may be a later feature. There is no definite entrance and the interior is relatively level. Monument is visible today as a circular-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
