Situated in gently undulating pasture, c. 10m to SE of a stream running NE-SW, with fairly restricted views. Not depicted on OS maps. According to Rynne (1972-3, ) in 1967 burials were discovered in a naturally formed mound, when a large portion of the NW half was disturbed. This exposed a large number of human bones which were protruding from the face of the disturbed area and mostly concentrated within a distance of 4.2m from the summit of the mound (ibid). The burials (NMI Reg. no. 1A/177/67) consisted of adults and infants, the former being at various stratigraphic levels between about 0.3m and 0.5m below the surface, while the latter were found between approx. 0.15-0.25m in depth (ibid). The adult burials were in a disturbed state suggesting consecutive rather than communal burial (ibid). One of the lowest adult burials lay extended in a NE-SW direction and facing NE, which could suggest a Christian burial. The infant burials were relatively undisturbed and were mostly orientated NW-SE, but with the head facing NW. Monument described in 1983 as no surface remains visible. This is a roughly circular-shaped knoll which appears to be entirely natural. There are no surviving indications of any burials and no manmade mounds or hollows are discernible. Monument is not visible today on Digital Globe aerial photography.
