The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small rise, in pasture, overlooking rough pasture to E, with views restricted in all directions. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an irregular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1979 as an oval-shaped area enclosed by a very low bank which is only really visible at SW and is practically reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The scarp is fairly well preserved at E and W and has been completely levelled from SSE-S-SSW. The scarp has traces of drystone facing at E and SW. There are no indications of an entrance. The perimeter is incorporated into a modern field fence from W-NW-N. A short stretch of old field bank intersects the scarp at SSW. The interior rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre and is scattered with field clearance stones. Monument is visible today as a tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
