The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a low rise, in undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1979 as an oval-shaped area (dims. 44m N-S; 34m E-W) enclosed by a low bank and external fosse. The bank is almost reduced to a scarp. The bank is low and faint from E-SE-S-W and is almost reduced to a scarp from W-N-E. A very faint narrow and shallow fosse is visible from SE-S and may have been recut as the drain of an old field boundary from SW-W-NW. There is no indication of an entrance. The interior has a slight E-facing slope and there are faint traces of cultivation ridges running N-S. A modern field fence runs ENE-WSW along the perimeter at NW. An old field bank running roughly E-W intersects the perimeter at SW. Traces of another old field bank can be seen running N from this along the outside of the perimeter from SW-W-NW. Monument is visible today as a very faint oval-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photography.
