The National Monuments Service's description

Situated in relatively low lying wet and peaty pasture, at the SE edge of an expanse of bog, formerly known as Lough Atrim, prior to drainage. A possible crannog (WM027-030----) lies c. 20m to NW. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly rectangular-shaped tree-planted area (dims. 30m NE-SW; 26.5m NW-SE), not depicted as an antiquity on any ed. OS 6-inch map. Monument is clearly visible on Digital Globe aerial photography as a rectangular-shaped earthwork.
