The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a small rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringfort (WM026-085----) lies c. 45m to S. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a broad oval-shaped earthwork. Bivallate monument described in 1971 as a large subcircular-shaped area (dims. 46m E-W; 44.50m N-S) enclosed by an inner bank, an intervening fosse and an outer bank. The inner earth and stone bank is substantial and is best preserved at ESE and from SE-S-W, being almost reduced to a scarp and fragmentary elsewhere. A wide, steep, flat-bottomed fosse is visible from S-W-N-E-SE and is almost completely infilled from SE-S. The outer earth and stone bank is visible from S-W-N-E-SE only. There are several slight disturbance gaps in the top of the inner bank and a wide disturbance gap in the both banks at WNW. A gap (Wth at top .2m; basal Wth 1.3m) in the inner bank at SE is defined by a stone set on edge on the NE side and represents the most likely entrance. The surface of the interior is uneven and rises slightly from the perimeter towards the centre. Four house sites (WM026-081001-/-081002-/-081003-/081004-) are in the WNW, NW, NE and S quadrants respectively.
See attached plan of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
