The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of a small rise, in gently undulating pasture with good views except where overlooked by higher ground to NE and SE. Monument described in 1971 as the remains of an oval-shaped area defined by the remains of a scarp which appears to have been levelled. The scarp (max. H 1.2m) is best preserved at NW and is low from NE-E-SE. There is no trace of an external fosse and no entrance visible. The interior rises gently from the perimeter towards the centre and is pitted with small holes, possibly where trees or scrub have been uprooted. Monument described in 1977 as no surface remains visible. Monument visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark on oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP AOY080) taken 12/07/1966.

Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien.
