The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a low rise, in low-lying pasture, with restricted views in all directions. Monument described as a roughly subrectangular-shaped area (dims. 36m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by a bank and external fosse with a possible entrance gap (Wth at top 5.2m; Wth at base 2.5m) at NNE. The bank (overall Wth 3.9m; Wth at top 1.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6m) is best preserved from NNW-N-NE. The narrow, shallow external fosse (overall Wth 2.9m; Wth at base 1.5m; D 0.15m) is best preserved at SSW and from NNW-N-NE and is intermittent elsewhere. The remains of a very low outer bank are visible at S but this may be due to a very slight depression outside the monument which creates the impression of a potential outer bank. The interior rises gently from the perimeter towards the centre. There is a large quarry depression off-centre to SE and there is a very slight depression (overall Wth 2.2m; Wth at base 1m; D 0.25m) of unknown significance along the interior of the bank at W. A field boundary running NE-SW truncates the base of bank at SE. A Preservation Order was placed on this monument on the 26/01/1982 (SMR file).
