The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a rocky knoll, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. The enclosing element of the ringfort from N-E-SE forms the townland boundary with Carn. Ringfort described in the 1970s as an oval-shaped area (dims. 52m E-W; 39m N-S) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone from SE-S-W-N. It is wide and steep and has the remains of both internal and external stone facings, which are much disturbed. The bank is replaced by a stone wall from NE-ESE which follows the line of the townland boundary. There are indications of an outer fosse. The surrounding fields have been cleared of stones and some of them have been filled against the base of the bank. No clear entrance feature visible. The interior rises steeply and unevenly from the perimeter towards the centre and is largely obscured by dense scrub. There is a laneway outside the perimeter of the ringfort from E-ESE.
