The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on top of a steep prominent rise, in gently undulating pasture with good views in all directions. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork (diam. 38m) and depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork which appears to have been partially quarried at NE. Monument described in 1971 as freshly exposed patches of stony earth which have yet to be covered in regrowth. The interior is slightly uneven and rises gradually from the perimeter towards the centre. There is no visible trace of an entrance or an external fosse. Outline of tree-covered monument visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs. Unclear how much of the monument has been quarried away and what remains upstanding.
