The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on top of a gentle rise, in undulating pasture, with good views to S, W and N. Monument described in 1971 and 1978 as a subcircular-shaped area (dims. 32.5m E-W; 27.3m N-S) enclosed by a bank with external fosse. The bank is almost straight on the S side. The fosse is visible from NW-N-E-SE and at SW. A gap (Wth at top 3.6m; Wth at base 2.3m) at ENE may represent the entrance and a large stone defining the N side, may be the remains of stone facing. The interior is uneven and has wide cultivation ridges running E-W. A field fence encloses the monument.
